Do Decoragloba candles contain paraffin?

No. They are made with 100 % vegetable soy wax and an organic cotton wick, handmade in our workshop in Valencia.

What exactly is the wax made of?

Soy. It is a vegetable wax, with no paraffin and no petroleum derivatives. Because it is softer than paraffin it melts at a lower temperature, so the candle lasts longer and releases its scent more gently and more steadily.

Do they smoke?

Very little, and it almost always comes down to how they are used. Every flame produces some soot, but three habits prevent it: trim the wick to about 5 mm before each lighting, keep the candle out of draughts and do not burn it for more than four hours at a time. Black smoke means the wick is too long.

Can I burn a candle if I have cats or other pets at home?

With common sense, yes, but there is something worth knowing: cats and birds are far more sensitive to scent than people are. We cannot claim that a scented candle is harmless to them, because all combustion releases particles. What we recommend is to ventilate the room, never shut an animal in a room with a burning candle and, if you keep a bird, not to light it in the same room. If in doubt, ask your vet.

Can they be used during pregnancy or around small children?

Like any candle: never unattended, out of reach of children and pets, and with the room ventilated. If you have a respiratory condition, check with your doctor.

Burn time and use

How many hours does each candle last?

These are approximate figures, measured with normal use: the 220 g candle lasts around 50 hours, the 750 g one around 80 hours and the 1750 g one around 190 hours.

Why does my candle burn a hole down the middle instead of melting evenly?

Because it was blown out too soon the first time. Wax has a memory: the first time you light it, leave it burning until the melted wax reaches the edge of the container, which takes two to three hours depending on the size. If you put it out before that, the candle "remembers" that diameter and will always burn down the centre.

How do I refill a reed diffuser?

With the 250 ml refill. Remove the empty bottle, fill it with the refill and fit the new reeds, which are included. It costs less than buying a whole new diffuser and you keep the bottle.

How often should I turn the reeds?

Once a week is enough. Turning them puts the dry end back into the liquid and revives the scent. Turning them daily uses the diffuser up far more quickly.

How long does a reed diffuser last?

It depends on how many reeds you use and how warm the room is. With every reed in place it is stronger and lasts less; with a few taken out it lasts longer. In an ordinary room, the 250 ml diffuser keeps going for several months.

Choosing a fragrance

Which fragrance is the strongest?

The most intense are Jasir (cinnamon, clove and citrus), Junto a la Hoguera (woody, like a fireplace) and Paseo Silvestre (rosemary, pine and eucalyptus). At Christmas, Jasir is the one most people ask for.

How do I choose if I cannot smell it first?

Shipping and returns

How much does delivery cost?

On mainland Spain, free on orders over 50 €.

How long does it take to arrive?

24 to 48 hours on working days. In some cases it can take up to 72.

Do you deliver to the Balearic and Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla?

To the Balearic Islands, yes: delivery is 15 € flat, whatever the order is worth. To the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla we do not ship retail orders. If you are a trade customer, write to us: we do deliver to those destinations.

Do you ship outside Spain?

Yes. Write to customer@decoragloba.com with your address and we will tell you the cost and the delivery time.

Can I return it if I change my mind?

Yes. You have 14 working days from delivery. The item has to come back unused and in the same condition it was sent.

Do I need an account to buy?

No. You can order without creating one. If you do create it, your details are saved for next time.

Gifting

Do you make gift sets?

Yes. We have sets that pair a candle and a fragrance from the same scent family, ready to give.

Can you send it to another address without showing the price?

Yes. Put the recipient's address as the delivery address and tell us in the order notes: we send the parcel with no document showing the amount.

Trade sales

Do you sell wholesale?

Yes. Once your trade account is active you see the full catalogue at wholesale prices and can order online, without going through a sales rep.

Is there a minimum order?

There is no minimum order. From 500 € upwards, carriage is paid within Spain.

How do I open a trade account?

In two steps, from the For professionals page: first you create the account with your email —you receive a one-time code, no passwords— and then you fill in the form with your business details. We review the application and let you know by email.

Are you manufacturers or distributors?

Manufacturers. We produce in our own workshop in Valencia, Spain, and have done since 2006.
